Even though my team and myself were totally convinced of the
MoOD concept and of the necessary transition of Decosit
Brussels to MoOD, it remained to be seen what the first
edition would bring and how people would react to it. It
must be said: we were pleasantly surprised how convincingly
both exhibitors ànd visitors backed up MoOD.

Where can one find creativity and innovation in upholstery,
window treatments, wallcoverings, and the world of
materials? At MoOD, formerly known as Decosit, attendees can
‘meet only original designs’. At this
international event each exhibitor owns and produces its
collection, giving customers flexibility and confidence in
their purchases. The Trendease Team found oodles of
inspiration on the revamped show floor. In this episode get
an in-depth look of the exhibition’s offerings as our
host, Jennifer Castoldi, gets you into the mood!

Could it be that speed has caught up with us? Many people
want to slow down. They find it highly inappropriate to
squander money in times of crisis. But some of us think it
is just for show: who else is buying the £3,500
Balmain jacket or the £1,500 jeans from
Net-à-porter? Glamour magazine Tatler calls them the
NFP’s, the ‘new faux poor’. They spend
money like never before, but they don’t show. The new
trends are discrete luxury and generosity.
